Support
Worship and Study is a lay-led, lay-supported minyan with a twist. Due to our long-standing relationship with Harvard Hillel and its ongoing support (for which we are very grateful), we enjoy the services of a rabbinic advisor and our expenses are much lower than those of comparable congregations. That said, our expenses are far from zero, especially as we continue our efforts to rebound from the effects of the pandemic. We want to encourage every member not only to participate in the spiritual life of the minyan (our primary form of dues), but also to contribute to our ongoing financial viability.
There are two ways to pay annual Minyan dues and or to make charitable contributions to our fundraising campaign. The first is the time-honored tradition of writing a check.
For payment of dues, checks are made out to Harvard Hillel and should have ‘W&S dues’ written on the memo line.
For donations for the Sherman Sass Tzedakah Fund, checks are made out to Harvard Hillel and should have ‘W&S Sherman Sass Tzedekah Fund’ written on the memo line.
For registration fee for the Lehrhaus Dinner event, check are made out to Harvard Hillel and should have ‘W&S Lehrhaus Event’ written on the memo line.
Checks should have the memo line filled out properly to assure proper crediting of your payment. Checks should be mailed to Harvard Hillel, 52 Mt. Auburn Street, Cambridge MA 02138.
The second method, new this year, is online via a dedicated link on the Harvard Hillel website (http://weblink.donorperfect.com/worshipandstudy), solely for the payment of W&S dues and contributions to the Sherman Sass Tzedakah Fund. Payments made online at this link only will be credited directly to our account, and payment should generate an automatic thank you note/receipt at the time of payment.
Note: There is a separate link for the non tax-deductible payment to attend the Lehrhaus Tzedekah Event. All payments made for this event will go into our Tzedekah Fund. Lehrhaus Dinner Reservation – Spaces are limited, so sign up ASAP.
As in the past, suggested dues amounts are as follows:
- $18 students and Minyan alums
- $72 individual members
- $108 households
